This past Thanksgiving, Beyond Borders Athletics and Full Circle Community Sports hosted our largest holiday event yet — the Turkey Cup Tournament, a two-day celebration of community, competition, and youth leadership. The tournament brought together 10 teams and more than 150 young athletes from across Buffalo, creating an electric atmosphere filled with energy, pride, and sportsmanship.
Over the course of two days, players showcased their talent, teamwork, and resilience, reminding us why accessible sports programming matters so deeply for our city's youth. After an exciting series of matchups, the Green Gobbler Guardians emerged as the tournament champions and Dezire Abdullah (I-Prep) earned Most Valuable Player.
